A softly shimmering pale blue aquamarine takes centre stage in this vintage pendant, cut in a graceful pear shape with a rose-cut finish that gives the stone a gentle, antique sparkle rather than the sharp brilliance of a modern facet. Set in solid 925 sterling silver and presented on a 45cm chain, it's a delicate, romantic piece with genuine old-world charm.

Aquamarine takes its name from the Latin for "sea water," prized for centuries for its clear, pale blue tones reminiscent of shallow ocean shallows. The rose-cut technique — one of the oldest gemstone cutting styles, dating back centuries — features a flat base and domed top with triangular facets, catching light in a soft, romantic glow quite different from contemporary cuts. Paired with the elegant pear silhouette, it lends this pendant a genuinely vintage character.

Crafted in solid 925 sterling silver and finished with a 45cm chain, it sits beautifully at the collarbone and layers effortlessly with other necklaces. A timeless piece for anyone drawn to antique-inspired design and genuine, natural gemstones.

Care of your Silver Jewellery

Despite what you may think, sterling silver like all precious metals, will tarnish with time and wear. To take care of your sterling silver jewellery, polish it frequently with a soft dry cloth to avoid tarnish (we supply one of these with each order) and do not use a silver dip. This can damage your silver but also any stones in the setting.

If you store your silver away, we recommend an air tight bag. This prevents air getting to the jewellery and it will help to keep it looking perfect!

Store in a cool, dry place.

For some faceted stones (please take care as some are porous) a tiny amount of washing up liquid and a soft toothbrush can help to remove any dirt from the back of the setting but it is always essential to check whether the stone setting can manage getting wet.

Avoid contact with chemicals, deodorants, hairspray and perfume.

To maintain your jewellery, we recommend removing when swimming, bathing, showering or undertaken any cleaning. Products can do damage so it's always best to keep them protected and simply take them off.
